Washington Street, San Francisco, California
This beautiful, vintage Presidio Heights home was brought into the 21st century with a design vision that both complemented and added to existing details. Wall configuration changes led to replicating existing millwork treatments in the Dining Room and Living Room areas. A rear addition expanded the house footprint to allow for a new Family Room, French country Kitchen, and expansive Master Suite. A new Lower Level Bathroom/Rumpus Room, relocated Laundry and new stair completely transformed what was previously a simple utilitarian space. Decks over living areas at the Master Suite and Guest Bedroom, and off the main level Dining Room opened up possibilities for indoor/outdoor living, and an all new rear yard with multiple terraces added to the merging of exterior with interior spaces. And an Attic play area with two new dormers, and an all new roof incorporating skylights and natural lighting turned the Third Floor into a charming, destination space.
